通识教育要求

通识教育哲学

所有Keystone 新葡京线上娱乐的课程都反映了基于使命和塑造机构文化的机构学生学习成果。这些成果得到通识教育核心课程的支持，这一系列课程反过来又为支持和加强专业内的个人课程提供教育基础。

通识教育核心课程培养学生在以下方面的能力：

•沟通技巧：使用英语，写作和口语清晰，连贯，有说服力。
•道德推理：展示道德行为的基本原则。
•定量推理：使用定量概念和方法来解释和批判性地评估数据。在各种需要定量素养的环境中有效地解决问题。
•科学素养：运用科学的基本原理和科学探究的方法。
•技术和信息素养：展示计算机素养，包括计算的基本概念和流畅地使用当代计算和信息技术。
•批判性分析和推理：探索和分析问题、想法、人工制品和事件，并将探索和分析作为接受或形成意见和结论的基础。
•艺术与人文素养：探索和分析创作过程和/或人类状况，关注人类经验的美学、哲学、历史和/或文学维度，并将这种探索和分析作为接受或形成意见和结论的基础。
•社会和文化意识：探索和分析社会、文化、经济和政治在塑造人类思想、价值和行为方面的影响，并将这种探索和分析作为接受或形成意见和结论的基础。

学生将通过参加必修课程和选择其他课程来满足这些能力。

通识教育课程

ENGL 0050 – Critical and Analytical Reading – All students must demonstrate competency in this
course whether by achieving specified SAT/ACT scores or by successful completion of the course.
The course carries two credits which are included in full-time status and financial aid considerations,
but do not count toward the minimum earned credits necessary for graduation. Students who are
exempted from the course due to SAT/ACT scores received an exemption that does not carry credits.

基石经历

除了通识教育核心课程和学生选择的专业之外，所有学生都将参加Keystone体验。这些经历旨在加强学生的课堂学习，帮助他们利用大学教育取得职业成功。 Keystone experience可以是独立的学分课程，也可以嵌入到学分课程中，也可以是非学分课程。 Keystone体验虽然是通识教育要求的一部分，但通常是通过学生的专业来管理的，这与Keystone的理念是一致的，即通识教育和专业课程是不可分割的。

一年级学生体验 – This experience is achieved through FYS 1110: The First-Year Experience, taken in the first semester. 该课程帮助学生成为Keystone社区的一部分，同时提高他们的学习和学习技能，并帮助他们理解成为所选学科的学者意味着什么。

真实世界体验 -通过体验式学习（EXPL）、实地体验、实习或其他校外体验完成。在某些情况下，实际体验可以在校园内完成。它帮助学生确定他们是否选择了他们喜欢工作的主要学科。

转到Keystone学院的学生可能已经完成了许多通识教育要求。注册主任将与教师一起确定学生是否符合通识教育要求和Keystone经验的标准。

通识教育课程

注册学位课程和Keystone学院的学生将完成通识教育的核心课程。本课程分配旨在确保学生达到通识教育核心课程的目标。下面列出的课程可以用来满足通识教育核心课程的能力。

*在完成通识教育核心课程时，任何课程只能用于完成一个能力领域。此外，只有三到四个学分的主要学科可以用来完成任何能力领域。
